Welcome to the 6th Swedish National ITS Conference

on the 29 to 30 September 2010.

The conference will present the important trends in ”Intelligent Transport Systems and Services”, ITS, from research and development as well as from a European and Swedish perspective. We will discuss how ITS can support the targets set up by the society and industry and how ITS can be used in the daily life.

The theme for the Conference is:  

"Time for Deployment"

You will be informed about what is ongoing in Sweden and international.

The conference has a focus on EU’s ITS Action plan and the Swedish action plan.

We will start with presentations with the European perspective.
High ranked members from DG Infos, DG Move and ERTICO will present what is happening internationally.

We have several interesting topics that will be discussed during the days:

− Can a smarter everyday commuting work as an excuse to stay away from work?
− How can the ITS Action Plan and other International activities contribute to a better transportsystem.
− Innovations and planning for a better transport system
− Where are the business cases? Data & Information handling
− Communication between the infrastructure and the vehicles and users
− Green corridors and motorways at the sea needs ITS
− Urban cities
− Field operation test areas

Who should attend

The target group for the conference is decision- and policymakers within infrastructure and transport section, students and professionals in the different infrastructure areas.

Date and time

The conference will start on Wednesday 29th September at 09h00 and end at 15h15 on Thursday 30th September. 

The first day’s presentations will be in English.

In conjunction to the conference will there be opportunities for business meetings, mingling and possibilities to get new contacts in the area.
